The Hunter Community Foundation has been established to help the Hunter community grow through the engagement of projects and benefits that contribute to the social and economic benefits to the Hunter community.

The Hunter Community Foundation will assist people to support projects that provide a real and significant difference across the Hunter community through investment in areas such as the Environment, Health, Education, Arts and Culture, Heritage and Community projects. The Foundation is able to deliver these by fostering partnerships between communities, organisations and governments.

When compared with the option of starting a private community foundation, the Hunter Community Foundation offers individuals, corporations and special interest groups the unique opportunity to undertake projects within the community.

As a not-for-profit organisation with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, the Hunter Community Foundation offers individuals, corporations and special interest groups the added incentive of supporting the Hunter community through a tax deductable benefit & co-funding.

The Hunter Community Foundation also offers individuals and corporations the opportunity to set up special named funds that recognise their name and their contribution to the Hunter Community Foundation for future generations. Likewise the Hunter Community Foundation can respect the privacy of individuals through absolute anonymity of their donations and support.
