Ashley Gordon

Ashley Gordon is a passionate man whose professional life over the past 12 years has revolved around championing the disadvantaged members of our community.

He is a proud Indigenous man who has used his academic training as a teacher to good effect.

He has had an illustrious sporting career and was a First Grade player for the Newcastle Knights.

Ashley has also trained as a drug and alcohol counsellor, and excels as a gambling addiction counsellor. He has worked for Life Activities with disadvantaged people facing crisis in their lives and with various Indigenous organisations.

He is the Hunter Region White Ribbon Day Ambassador and was appointed by the NSW Government for the campaign to prevent Violence Against Women.

Currently Ashley runs his own consultancy company, AG Consulting, which offers Indigenous community consultation, event and management services and cultural awareness training.

The Hunter Community Foundation welcomes Ashley as its first Ambassador.
